NetSAP DC is one of the largest and most active national NetIP chapters with a number of events every week. Our mission is to provide our members with an environment to in which they can help create and participate in a
dynamic and interactive events.
NetSAP committees plan events in the following catagories.
- Professional Development: NetSAP fosters and strives
for professional development of our members through Professional
Seminars, Networking and Mentoring Events. Professionals have the
opportunity to expand their network by meeting like-minded individuals
in their respective or complementary fields.
- Cultural Awareness: NetSAP hosts events
and supports initiatives designed to create awareness about Indian
culture within the South Asian and other communities. Our cultural awareness activities include Chai chats, book clubs, cooking classes, and celebration of popular Indian festivals and theater.
- Community Service: NetSAP focuses on local
initiatives that create a global impact. NetSAP teams volunteer for
several local charities providing their time and resources to soup
kitchens, food banks, and community centers. NetSAP also raises funds
for charities and creates awarenes on global issues including AIDs,
Children's rights, poverty eradication and grassroots development
through seminars.
- Political Awareness: NetSAP strives to educate
its membership about the political process in the United States, at the
local, state, and federal level. Through forums we create awareness
about issues that are affecting South Asians today.
