Mission
The purpose of NetIP is to serve as an organization that meets the needs of South Asian professionals in North America as they grow in their personal and professional lives. Over the years, NetIP has become a premier networking brand in our community. It has become the unequivocal voice for an emerging group of South Asians, who excel in every aspect of western society, from business to politics to the arts. The rise of NetIP and its affiliated chapters reflects a general "Coming of Age" by South Asian professionals. We are proud to state that many of our present members and past alumni now hold respected positions of leadership in the private, public, and non-profit sectors all over the world.
Our mission is to be more than just a networking forum. We also aspire to be the facilitating vehicle used by South Asian professionals to improve and enhance the communities in which we work and live. NetIP lays the foundation for the best and brightest to forge cohesive relationships to work together for a lifetime. We are not just today's professionals who are the backbone of NetIP, but we are also simultaneously emerging to be tomorrow's leaders in business, politics and civic life. We will continue to interact closely with many of the acquaintances we make through our experiences within the NetIP organization.
NetIP believes that creating a strong personal bond between our members will strengthen our community across North America, as well as our ties to each other. To that end, NetIP's focus continues into the areas of economic growth and security, cultural awareness and preservation, family needs, and promoting education and learning. As an organization, we continuously persevere to help and give back to our local communities by recruiting experts in areas such as health care, banking, education, finance and technology.
NetIP believes that our members are undeniably our greatest resource. We strive ardently to work with everyone in our local communities to provide a single platform for South Asian professionals to target the many opportunities and challenges that come our way.
The Four Pillars
NetIP programming focuses specifically on the opportunities and challenges in these four pillar areas:
 |
Professional Development - Professionals are most interested in learning about the different sectors of the economy and the opportunities for successful fulfilling careers in those fields. NetIP strives to educate our members through speakers, literature, email newsletters, seminars and other activities to help find the career best suited for them. NetIP also hosts networking events so that professionals have the opportunity to meet others who work in similar fields and to gain exposure to other sectors in order to leverage each other's strengths and knowledge. |
 |
Cultural Awareness - NetIP hosts events that are designed to raise awareness about South Asian culture. Our cultural awareness activities include book clubs highlighting South Asian authors, concerts featuring artists from India and the US, as well as Diwali and Holi cultural shows and parties. We also support South Asian artists in each of our communities by organizing excursions for our members to attend museum exhibits/gallery displays, theatrical premieres, as well as fashion shows of local designers. |
 |
Community Service - NetIP members use their time, resources and connections to help charities in their local community, as well as internationally across North America and India. NetIP chapters have hosted events that include volunteering at soup kitchens, food banks, and community centers in order to give back to their communities. NetIP members have also leveraged the resources of their companies, universities, and associations to raise money and awareness for community organizations in US, Canada and India. |
 |
Political Awareness - NetIP strives to educate its members about the political process in the United States, at the local, state, and federal level. We facilitate forums where members can hear about current issues in the news from experts and discuss relevant issues. NetIP also conducts meetings with elected officials to understand their efforts in assisting the South Asian community. Many prominent South Asian politicians have spoken at our local chapter events and annual conferences over the years. |
