Aruna Paramasivam, President
aruna@netip.org

Aruna took on her first leadership role in 2005 as Professional Development chair with the NetIP Philadelphia chapter, and has since escalated her involvement with the organization to the North America level. She was Chapter Relations Chair in 2006 and served on the Executive Committee as Vice-President of Internal Affairs in 2007 for NetIP North America. She has built up a great amount of passion for NetIP over the years, and has developed a solid understanding of the organization via her various roles. She looks forward to the challenge of taking NetIP to the next level as President. Her goal for 2008 is to position NetIP to become the most recognized premier professional brand in the South Asian community.

Aruna is a Management Consultant who specializes in project management and business analysis in the Philadelphia area. She has a background in Engineering and Business Management. She has been involved with many large-scale client projects in the pharmaceutical, banking, healthcare and retail industries over the years. She also is involved in fitness modeling and competitions, and spends much of her spare time preparing and training for Fitness America pageants and photo shoots across the country.

 

 

Aman Parekh, VP - Finance and Administration

Aman began his involvement with NetIP on a local level, serving as Professional Events Chair on the NetIP-Dallas Board. He then became president of the Dallas chapter from 2005-2006 and led his teams to organize a wide variety of events, as well as to win NetIP's highly-esteemed "Best Small Chapter Award" in 2005.

In Aman's free time, Aman loves to play a lot of basketball, lift weights, read, and "Party Like a Rockstar". Aman is a manager at Motorola (Hello Moto!) in the cell phone division. His position involves cell phone programming, operations, and working with the sales team.

This year, Aman is back in action with NetIP on the North America level to help the organization grow and make a positive difference. "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - Gandhi

 

 

Amesh Mansukhani, VP - Internal Affairs

Amesh has been involved with NetIP since 2000. He first joined NetSAP Boston as their webmaster and launched the chapter's very first website. He then become involved with NetSAP DC in 2001 and 2002 and helped with organizing local events such as the Annual Fusion Show and Charity Ball. In 2006, Amesh moved to the Seattle area, and ignited the NetIP Seattle Chapter with the help of a very energetic team. NetIP Seattle quickly became one of the fastest growing chapters and ended their first year with over a hundred members.

Given his positive local chapter experiences and successes over the years, Amesh has decided to become involved with NetIP North America. As VP of Internal Affairs, his primary goals are to help chapters realize their full potential by disseminating valuable and relevant information for organizational growth, while enabling effective collaboration between chapters.

Amesh currently works at Microsoft Corporation in Seattle as a Sr. Product Manager with a concentration on Identity & Access marketing. His primary focus is generating product awareness and excitement through high-tech industries around the globe.

 

 

Priya Kumar, VP - External Affairs

Priya Kumar joins the NetIP North America team as the Vice President of External Affairs after serving on the NetIP New York board for two years. Upon graduating from college, Priya first served as the Social & Cultural Events Chair for NetIP New York before taking on the role of Chapter President in 2007. During her years on the New York board, she successfully improved the quality and diversity of the chapter's events, and came up with many innovative ideas to increase membership. Having become involved on a North America level now, Priya looks forward to deepening her involvement with NetIP by expanding membership discounts, benefits and networking channels for all local chapters.

Priya works in mortgage-backed security trading at JPMorgan. She previously consulted at Booz Allen Hamilton and interned for Senator Paul Sarbanes. While pursuing her undergraduate degree in Economics at Princeton University, she studied abroad at London School of Economics to take entrepreneurship classes. She hopes to return to London for graduate school in the future.

Priya was born and raised in Potomac, MD with her two older brothers. She enjoys spending her free time dancing, cooking, and meeting new people. She also leads a children dance project team for NYCares.

 

 

Sundip Arora, VP - Events

Sundip became involved with NetIP at the grassroots level in Boston, initially as a volunteer and then as the National Liaison with NetSAP Boston. He witnessed and helped NetSAP Boston win the prestigious "Best Large Chapter" award in 2007. His passion for creating a world class organization translated into successfully running for the VP of Events position on a North America level and leading the the 2008 National conference in Boston.

As VP of Events, Sundip brings a singular mindset of delivering an unequaled Annual Conference that will have a lasting impact on NetIP members and the community. Through the 2008 Conference, he and his team hope to inspire attendees to Explore new opportunities, Dream the impossible and Discover the unexpected.

In his professional life, Sundip works for a high tech startup company based out of the Boston area supporting sales engineering activities for an exciting new technology. Prior to his new life at the startup, he was an IT Strategy Consultant with a Big 4 Management Consulting firm. His drive to help NetIP North America become a superlative non-profit organization for South Asians in America comes from his professional experience and inspiration from fellow NetIP leaders and members.
