Pro Bono

Administrative

The Pro Bono Committee addresses the needs for pro bono representation in non-frivolous appeals and petitions before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in a variety of ways. We screen incoming requests for representation and assist in placing eligible cases with members of the Association who have volunteered to take cases in their respective areas of interest and expertise. We maintain an ongoing dialogue with the Court and the Clerk's Office regarding the subject of pro bono representation. We also plan and present educational programs that are designed, for example, to raise the level of awareness regarding current issues associated with pro bono work or to provide substantive training in areas of law germane to cases needing representation. The Committee always welcomes new members interested in participating in any of these activities and new ideas for how it can better fulfill its mission.
