The Amicus Committee reviews requests for Association amicus participation in appellate cases pending at either the Federal Circuit or the Supreme Court, and makes recommendations to the Board of Governors. If the Board approves a recommendation for participation, the Committee oversees and assists in preparation of amicus briefs for filing. The Committee gives the Association a voice in the most important decisions within the Federal Circuit's subject matter jurisdiction.
