Visit the Birthplace of GE Elfun Association Island
As described in our History, GE Elfun was founded in 1928 on Association Island on Lake Ontario in upper New York State. The island has been restored and is again open for visits. It now provides recreational vehicle (RV) sites, marina dockage, lake-front cottages, visitor facilities, and recreational activities.
Many of GE's old buildings have restored and renovated: the Island House as a registration and convenience store, the Dining Hall as a conference center for large group gatherings and banquets, the Infirmary as a club house, and the Black Catte as a bar and grill.
They welcome all members of GE Elfun to visit historic Association Island. They provide for Elfuns,
- 20% discount for the non-peak months of May, June, September, and October
- 10% discount for the peak months of July and August, but not for the July 4th weekend
- additional special discounts for any GE Elfun group events and reunions
