The Cincinnati Chapter was founded on September 21, 1950 and as of the 2005 de-activation, had 2580 Regular Members and 1974 Senior Members.
The original chapter website was started on December 2, 1997.
When GE Volunteers emerged in 2005, the Cincinnati Elfun Chapter transferred all of its community service projects and efforts to the Corporate sponsored, GE Volunteers and encouraged all members to take a leadership roll in their community through the GE Volunteers. As the GE Volunteers' activities gained momentum, many Elfun Chapter activities were reduced to insure a successful transition and in some cases, such as with the Cincinnati Chapter, the chapter was de-activated.
The Cincinnati Elfun Chapter is now reborn, re-energized, and ready to make a difference in the lives of its GE members, our communities, and the world we live in starting with this new home page.
