The Greater Cincinnati GE Elfun Chapter was founded on September 21, 1950 and as of the 2005 de-activation, had 2580 Regular Members and 1974 Senior Members.

The original chapter website was started on December 2, 1997.

When GE Volunteers emerged in 2005, the Greater Cincinnati GE Elfun Chapter transferred all of its community service projects and efforts to the Corporate sponsored, GE Volunteers and encouraged all members to take a leadership role in their community through the GE Volunteers.  As the GE Volunteers' activities gained momentum, many Elfun Chapter activities were reduced to insure a successful transition and in some cases, such as with the Cincinnati Chapter, the chapter was de-activated.

The Greater Cincinnati GE Elfun Chapter is BACK!  Reborn and re-energized to make a difference in the lives of its GE members, our communities, and the world we live.  Be a part of something GRAND!  Join today!  If joining after Jan 15th, please send your dues check in A.S.A.P.!!!!

The Chapter operates in conjunction with the local GE Volunteers organization, the Cincinnati GE Retiree's Association (GERA), the GE Social and Networking Association (GESNA), the "Malloy's Group", all GE Affinity and Network groups, and supports various social as well as charitable efforts.

The Greater Cincinnati GE Elfun Chapter is an umbrella organization facilitating social interaction amongst not only GE Aviation employees, but all GE employees within the Greater Cincinnati Chapter area.  Truly, GE ELFUN MEMBERSHIP HAS ITS BENEFITS!!!  We look forward to your active participation with the chapter.

The GE Elfun organization is the ONLY organization that brings together regular employees and retirees AND offers tangible benefits to membership such as Electric Insurance discounts, exclusive opportunities with the GE Elfun Mutual funds, and exclusive opportunities with Exploritas (formerly Elderhostel) in addition to saving on great local events and activities.  There is no better organization for connecting, or reconnecting with GE employees and retirees in a fun and engaging social setting.  The annual $25.00 membership dues pay for itself after just one or two events held throughout the year!

Active GE employees can also add the Greater Cincinnati GE Elfun Calendar to their Outlook profiles to keep current on all known social events sponsored by any of the organizations the Greater Cincinnati Chapter has reached out to.  Just add "Aviation Cincinnati Elfun Group" or SSO 501739078 to your Outlook profile to see the Calendar.  If you know of an event coming up that is not listed in the calendar, send Dalric Webb (dalric.webb@ge.com) a note to get the event added or simply invite the Aviation Cincinnati Elfun Group to the event and it will automatically update the community calendar!
