"Howard Itzkowitz (AR 62) recently retired from Southern Polytechnic State University where he was a professor in architecture for the past 17 years. He previously held teaching positions at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and California College of Arts and Crafts. He and his wife, painter Wendy James, now reside in North Adams, Massachusetts. They have four granddaughters aged from 3-19 years."

Alexandra Deaconescu (2001, CHE) writes, "Together with my collaborators, I have just published a scientific study in the Journal of Cell Biology that demonstrates for the first time that the tumor suppressor adenomatous polyposis coli is an actin nucleator. This has relevance for our understanding of how defects in the regulation of the cellular cytoskeleton might lead to tumor formation as APC is one of the few conserved hallmarks of human cancer.
