Our Client Online Community Training Center has many resources available for those using the Event Registration tool. We have found that clients who allocate some time familiarizing themselves with these resources prior to working in the application build and test their events much more quickly, and with less need for edits.

Take these steps to jumpstart your knowledge of Event Registration and build your event:
Step 1: Listen to at least one of the On Demand recorded training sessions:
Overview of Event Registration Functionality
This session reviews the basic functions of Event Registration. It is important to view this prior to viewing Building an Event with Event Registration.
Building an Event Using Event Registration
This session will build an event using many of the available custom components with the assumption that the viewer is aware of the basic functionality of the tool.
Step 2: Download these 3 training manuals (at a minimum) to a desktop folder and review their content:
Event Registration: Create and Manage Event Forms
Event Registration Quick Start Guide
Event Registration Checklist for Building and Testing Event Forms
Step 3: Start building your event based on your pre-determined registration form layout. (Don’t build your event “on the fly” – you will lose time when you have to edit, re-order, etc.)

If you hit a barrier and cannot move forward use a keyword search in the training manuals for assistance.

If you are still facing a hurdle, email
howto@harrisconnect.com. Include your contact information, event ID, organization name and specific question. A staff member will contact you to assist in resolving the issue. And remember that every Wednesday afternoon at 2pm Eastern Time we host an Event Registration Q&A session where you can bring your questions for one-on-one conversation.

Weekly Q&A session held every Wednesday @ 2pm ET (these sessions require registration):

  1. Go to the Training Center website
  2. Click the Upcoming tab
  3. Click the Register link for New Event Registration Q&A
  4. Complete the Registration Information then click the Register button

You will receive a confirmation email that will include your Registration ID and the Session Password.

You must be a registered member of the Client Online Community in order to access the training materials. Your login will be the UserID and PW you created when you registered for the client online community. If you can't remember your login credentials, please click here.

If you have NOT already registered for the Client Online Community, please contact your Client Relations Manager to get your security word so you can create your login credentials.
